Description of Via Appia board game
In Via Appia up to four players hope to secure their place in history among Rome’s greatest builders by leading the Appian Way, the queen of the long roads, as stated by Roman poet Statius, to the seaport of Brundisium at the Adriatic Sea.
As is well known, all roads lead to Rome and in Via Appia many roads lead to victory: the players gain fame by completing the most important sections of the road, reaching new cities quickly and by earning sesterces. Only with a good strategy one can emerge victorious but without proving your deftness in the quarry even the best strategy may falter.
